This bushcraft/camp chopper was hand forged from an old leaf spring. The blade is sharp and durable, ground flat to a convex grind edge. This finish allows for heavy duty chopping, as well as being able to cut with ease. I left the knife face with the pockmarked texture of the old leaf spring, but gave the surface a nice polish, and axe wax coating to aid in rust prevention. The knife has been twice tempered, and will be an absolute beast in the field. The accompanying leather sheath has been designed with two strong snap straps so the knife can be equipped/unequipped without needing to remove your belt. The sheath also features a strap and snap around the handle, keeping the knife locked in tight when worn.
Steel: Spring Steel (5160)
Handle: Pinecone in Resin, Bloodwood, Irish Bog Oak, Copper Pins, Brass Lanyard Tube
Measurements: Total Length 13", Blade Length from Plunge Grind 6 3/4", Spine Thickness 1/4"
