This seax knife was hand forged from W2 steel and given a traditional Japanese hamon line. The hamon line is created by applying furnace cement to the blade during heat treatment. The hamon is then made visible after an acid bath, and polished. The knife has been designed with a tall bevel and thick spine, perfect for heavy duty slicing and cutting. The blade has been hardened and tempered for edge retention and durability, and features a shaving sharp edge. Comes with a Rainy Forge made sheath with carved Celtic knotwork. Perfect for hiking/camping excursions, the ren faire, role playing, or just showing off.
